What is a Microgrid
"A microgrid is a group of interconnected loads and distributed energy resources (DERs) with clearly defined electrical boundaries that acts as a single, controllable entity with respect to the grid. A microgrid can connect and disconnect from the grid to enable its operations in both grid-connected or islanded mode" – US DOE Microgrid Exchange Group, 2010
Why a Microgrid
Today’s energy trends of Decarbonization, Digitization, Decentralization, and Electrification are changing the energy landscape.
